Decoupling Transformer

A task transformation that brings decoupled search to off-the-shelf classical planners.

The Decoupling Transformer reformulates a classical planning task so that the benefits of star-topology decoupled search become available to any standard planner, without modifying the planner itself. The approach and its empirical evaluation are described in our ICAPS 2024 paper (Speck & Gnad, 2024).

The implementation is available on GitHub.
